    Where to find your engine stamp

    With the engine off and cool, look for a code stamped into the metal crankcase. On many GY6 engines, check low on the left side near the front of the CVT / belt case. Locations vary; clean away dirt and use a light.

    Record every letter and number, including any prefix or suffix. Use the stamped engine model code, not just a number cast into a removable cover.

    These are common engine-family markings. Match the complete code and original-part details; prefixes, suffixes and engine modifications can affect which parts fit.
